There are two different ways to upload products or items in Magento. First one is manually uploading and the second one is with the help of CSV file. The Huge number of items uploading manually is a very lengthy and difficult process. So for a large number of items, we have to use CSV file. It will be both times effective and easier.
For uploading on Magento, you need a user id and a password. Using the user id and password you can log in.

Step-1:
In order to upload new and fresh products on Magento at first you have to go to the catalog option. Here you can see a different type of options like Manage Products, Manage Feeds, Manage Categories, Attributes, Search Terms and many more. But for uploading new products you have to select manage products.
Now you can see the manage product page. Here you can see many types of product name, SKU and other information about the products. This page also contains products type, quantity, price, visibility, status etc. In this page, you can see your old products and other seller’s products, which will help you to prepare your products more attractive and exclusive.
Here you can use few options like page number and items per page, which will make easier for you to make your searching result. If you want to edit your existing products you can directly do that just clicking on the products name or clicking on edit option.
Step-2:
Now for uploading fresh and new product you have to click on Add Product on the right top corner of the page.

Here you will find a page with the option of Attribute Set and Product Type. You have to fill up these two with correct information. Now, first off all, you have to select which type of product you want to upload on Magento. Managing your product criteria you have to select the ideal option from the Attribute Set for your product. Again managing your product type you have to select the option from Simple Product, Grouped Product, Configurable Product, Virtual Product, Bundle Product, and, also, Downloadable Product. Then press the Continue…
Step-4:
After pressing continue you will get the full empty information page of your product. Here you have to fill up the each and every small information about your product. You have to fill up the mandatory fields like General, Prices, Meta Information, Images, Description, Inventory, and Categories. Without fulfilling these mandatory fields, your products cannot be able to live in the marketplace.
General:
This is the most important field for a new product. You have to fill up all must require (*) information. Name, a name is the main identity of a product. So you have to choose a proper and meaningful name for your product. Containing product SKU, color, material, and other important info makes your product more exclusive. You also have to fill up UPC, EAN, SKU, Weight, and Status with proper information. The Status and Tax Class will be Enabled and default respectively. At last, you have to generate an URL key using SKU.
Price:
You have to give the proper price of your product in the price section. The price unit must be in USD.
Meta Information:
In this section, you have to create a Meta Title, Meta Keywords, and Meta Description. Meta Title must be related to the main title or name of the product. Meta Keywords are very important for your products. Proper keywords can help your product in the search engine. Perfect optimized keywords will help your product to reach the top of the search results. Meta Description will be short but must have to be related to your product.
Images:
This is another important field for your products. First of all, you have to select properly sized images with the proper background. Then browse images and upload them. You can upload more than one image on this site. Uploading multiple images of your product makes your product more effective and more visited.
Description:
Description is the most vital field for a product. When someone searches a product for shopping, first of all, he/she tries to go through the product description and features. A proper description can play a very important role in your product. So you can prepare a very strong and attractive description which will be related to your product. You can keep products size, color, dimension, material and other important features in your description.
You can also add a small feature including 5 bullet point with your description. A proper description, short feature and bullet points can make your product more attractive, luxurious and exclusive. These small works also can show your product at the top of the search result.
Step-5:
After successfully completing all the required field you can press the “save and continue” option on the top right position of the page. Here, you can find your uploaded product on the manage products page. You can check and edit your product from there.
Now if someone wants to upload his/her product on Magento with different attributes, what would they do!
Attributes might be different in name, size and different color or maybe its price. For this, first of all, you have to go Catalog again and then attributes then Manage Attributes.
Here, you can select different types of attribute code like accents, adventure_outdoor, amplifier_type, apparel_size, backordered, bandcolor, bandtype, bandwidth and many more. You can also choose different types of attribute level like Accents, adventure_outdoor, Amplifier Type, Size, Backordered, Band Color, Band Type, Band Width, Fits SKUs, Fits Styles etc. which will help you to reach your products as close as customers with different attributes.
