Deals: An Amazon deal is popularly known as Lightning Deal. It is a flash sale in which a discount is offered on a limited number of product units over a short period of time – usually 2 to 6 hours. 

Customers can find Lightning Deals on the Today’s Deals page, on Prime, and in organic searches. Items featuring Lightning Deals will also be highlighted with a badge on their individual product pages until the deal ends.

Coupons: Coupons are the digital version of vouchers, similar to those we get in brand stores or supermarkets. These can be used to avail money off or percentage off on eligible single or multiple products. 

Amazon coupons are visible to all visitors. It appears throughout Amazon.in pages including offer tags on search results, Amazon deals page, and product detail pages, and there is even a separate page just for coupons. The customer can simply click on ‘Collect Coupon’ and the offers are instantly applied during checkout.

Before applying a coupon, you may need to take into account the cost because you will be charged every time a coupon is redeemed.

How to Create Coupons

To create coupons for the products, first, log in to your Amazon Seller Central account. Now, go to the Advertising menu and select the Coupon from the dropdown.

A page will appear that gives an overview of coupons and a high-level description of how they work and how to set them up. To get started with creating a coupon, need to click on the Create your first coupon button.

After that, you can see the four-step coupon creation process. Now you need to complete them to successfully create a coupon on Amazon.

Step 1 – Search & Add Products: To create a coupon for the product, search for the product either by SKU or ASIN. Once entered in the identifier, click the Go button.

After identifying the listed product, click on the Add to coupon button to add a coupon to that particular product.

The product will then appear in the Added to coupon section on the right of the screen. Now, click on the Continue to next step button.

Step 2 – Budget & Discount: In the next step, set the budget and discount specifics for the coupon. First, choose between the Money off or Percentage off discount, and then type out the specifics for the discount. For example, if chosen a Percent off discount, enter the specific percent discount to offer.

Now, select your preferred option, It can either limit coupon usage to one redemption per customer or can allow the coupon to be redeemed multiple times by the same customer.

After selecting the option, please set the Budget for the coupon. This creates a limitation on how much of a financial investment sellers are willing to make for this single coupon.

Once determined the total budget for the coupon, enter the amount into the Budget field, and then click on the Continue to next step button.

Step 3 – Schedule and Target: The first field to complete in step 3 is the Coupon title field. There will see an example as well as guidelines that can be reviewed to assist in creating the best title for the coupon.

Sellers can also target specific groups of customers such as Prime members, Amazon Student members, or Amazon Mom members if they wish to. This step is not required, and if don’t specify targeting, the coupon will be visible to all customers. So, if you have any targeted customers for the coupon, please select any of them.

After selecting the target customers please set a start and end date from the Schedule section. Coupons can be active anywhere from 1 to 90 days. Once set a start and end date, click on the Continue to next step button.

Step 4 – Review and Submit: Before submitting a coupon, a screen will appear where sellers can review all of the details of the coupon and view a preview of how the coupon will look like. Read through and review all of the information in this section. Once confirm all of the details are correct, click on the Submit coupon button.
