Compelling video content of your product listing makes you stand out from the crowd and helps to increase sales. Because product video gives buyers a confidence to buy your product. Also, it delivers a more engaging shopping experience to new and existing buyers. For that, eBay allows sellers to add a video to the listing and store. But sometimes we face some issues when we try to upload the video on eBay. Because there are some criteria that must need to be fulfilled. In this article, we will discuss how you can upload videos on eBay Listings without any errors.

There are a few things that you need to take into account to successfully upload the video on your eBay product listing

First, The maximum video supported size is 150 MB which means If we try to upload a video of more than 150 MB, it will not be supported or uploaded. We tried to upload a video of more than 150 MB but the video didn’t upload and eBay give us an error message like the below screenshot.

Second, If you shoot your video in 4K resolution, then you can not upload it to your eBay listings. Because eBay supports a maximum of 1080p resolution video.

Third, If you want to link the YouTube video to the eBay listing then it’ll not be updated because eBay will not allow any videos from any video platforms.

Fourth, eBay’s supported output resolutions are from 240 to 720 Pixels. So if you want to upload a video more than this range, the video will not upload to the item listings

Fifth, The supported file format is the MP4 file type that starts from MPEG-4 Part 10 or Advanced Video Coding. Therefore, if we add other file formats then it will show an error.

If we carefully follow these instructions, there should not be any issues. Still, there are chances that the video can get rejected. These may happen:

  1. If the video quality is blurry and poor
  2. If the content is illegal or offensive
  3. If the video includes Nudity and sexual content
  4. If the video or any content in the video is used without permission from the owner of the respective right, then it is not allowed
  5. If there are any web links, URLs, or calls to action that ask viewers to take action on other sites is not also allowed.

If you follow eBay’s suggested rules, then we believe you will not face any errors during the video upload to your product listing.
