July 19, 2022, YouTube launched a partnership with Shopify. This partnership allows eligible creators or merchants to sell their Shopify store products on YouTube channels. All that needs to be done is to link the Shopify store to the YouTube channel. After that products can be added to videos and live streams, like merch. People can browse and purchase from YouTube. In the US, buyers do not need to leave the video platform to purchase items. In today’s guide, I will discuss how you can upload your Shopify store on YouTube.

Channel Eligibility

• Have 1K subscribers or is an Official Artist Channel
• Have 4000 watch hours
• Have YouTube monetization
• Be based in a country/region where the YouTube Partner Program is available.
• Not set as Made for Kids, or not have a significant number of videos set as made for kids
• Not violate YouTube Channel Monetization Policies
• Not received any Hate Speech Community Guideline Strikes

Step 1: First, log in to your Youtube Studio.  From the left menu, select Monetization. 

Step 2: Now, click on the Shopping tab.

Step 3: Click on Connect store. A pop-up window will appear.

Select Shopify and click on Continue. Shopify will be directly linked with your channel.

Click on Go to Shopify. This will open Shopify in a new tab. Make sure you are already logged in to your Shopify account.

Step 4: From this page click on Add app to add the google channel app to your Shopify.

Step 5: At the top right, click on the add sales channel.

Step 6: Now, select Connect Google account.

Step 7: Sign in to the same Google account that manages your YouTube channel.

Then complete all store requirements on this page. 

Now connect your Google Merchant account or create a new one if you don’t already have one. Enter your phone information and verify your identity via text message. 

Then agree to the terms and conditions and select the Complete setup.

Step 8: Now you need to sync your products with YouTube. Under the YouTube selection, select get started.

Be sure your channel meets the channel requirements and then click Continue.

Step 9: Next, select your YouTube channel from the dropdown menu. Read and agree to YouTube’s shopping terms of service, and then select Complete setup.

After you complete the setup process, Youtube policies and the Google Merchant center policies will review your products for compliance. This process typically takes a few business days.

Once approved, your products will show up in YouTube Studio and you can select which videos you want your products to appear.
