Last Updated on July 19, 2022 by

Amazon frequently updates its Seller Central dashboard layout. As a regular Amazon seller, you must keep yourself updated with these updates. So that you know where to find what you are looking for. Which will save you time and hassle, as these changes of layout affect the sellers to manage their inventory orders and others. In today’s topic, we will cover the latest updates on the Amazon seller central layout.
Layout Update of Amazon Seller Central
In recent updates of Amazon Seller Central, Amazon brings changes to 4 tabs in its dashboard. They are:
- Inventory Tab
- Catalog Tab
- Partner Network Tab
- Reports Tab
So, let’s check what we have in the updates, and what’s new the home page offers now.
Inventory Tab
Before the recent update, more options were available in the Inventory tab of Amazon Seller Central. If you can remember or have access to the previous layout you can see there were:
- Manage Inventory
- Manage FBA Inventory
- Inventory Planning
- Add a Product
- Add Products via Upload
- Inventory Reports
- Manage FBA Shipments
- Upload images
- Upload & manage videos
After the update, there is a big change found in the inventory tab. If you hover over the Inventory tab, in the drop-down, you will find the updated options as below:
- Manage Inventory
- Manage seller-fulfilled products
- Sell Globally
- Manage PartFinder
- Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)
- Manage FBA Inventory
- Inventory Planning
- Manage FBA Shipments
Previously you can Add Products on Amazon from the Inventory tab. But after the update, the Add Products option is no more in the Inventory tab. It has shifted to the catalog tab.
Catalog Tab
There is a new tab, called Catalog. It has been introduced by Amazon to us for many days now. But previously there were only 3 options. They were:
- Add Products
- Complete Your Drafts
- View Selling Applications
After the recent update, in the Catalog tab, a lot of options were added in the drop-down. If you hover over the Catalog tab you can now see the below options in the drop-down:
- Add Products
- Complete Your Drafts
- View Selling Applications
- Improve listing quality
- Add Products via Upload
- Upload & Manage Videos
- Manage Product Documents
The Add Products option was previously under the Inventory tab. But now you can’t find it there, because it has been shifted to the catalog tab in the recent update of Amazon Seller Central. So, if you want to create products on Amazon now then you have to go under the catalog tab instead of the Inventory tab. Which is a very big change on the dashboards tab.
Partner Network
There is another new tab called Partner Network on the dashboard. It’s not from the latest update, it has been introduced not more than 3 or 4 months. So we consider it as a new tab. Here you will see the Amazon partners program and its details option. Let’s have look at the drop-down options it has:
- Finds Apps and Services
- Manage Your Apps
- Explore Services
- Manage Service Requests
- Develop Apps
Reports Tab
Before the update, we got the inventory reports option from the inventory tab.
But after the latest update, Inventory reports have gone to the Reports tab drop-down list in the dashboard like below:
- Payments
- Business Reports
- Inventory Reports
Every option has different features introduced by Amazon. Amazon is always introducing new features or updating existing features for easy handling seller central and a user-friendly experience for the sellers. I hope this article will be helpful for you.
