Isn’t it wonderful and a dream coming true? Don’t you think that it is going to change the future of eCommerce by making it more user-friendly? I do really believe that this is going to play a vital role in the upcoming era of eCommerce. So let’s learn more about it with this article which is here to discuss all the important aspects of the “Prime Try Before You Buy” (also known as “Prime Wardrobe”) to make it as simple as possible for you.
What is Prime Try Before You Buy?
Amazon revealed a new feature “Prime Try-Before-You-Buy” with the beta version in June 2021. Now, it is officially out of beta and available to anyone with an eligible Prime membership. Amazon allowed their prime members to order up to eight items at a time (minimum requirement of three) and check out without payment. They can try their ordered items at home and return what they do not want for free within seven days.
Why did Amazon launch this program?
Clothing designers have their own illustration of sizing and it is often difficult for shoppers to get a sense of how something will really look without trying it on. Items may be too short or long, too long or tight. Customers might have issues with the fabric, quality, color, workmanship, and other concerns on clothing or shoe items. Furthermore, Amazon was facing the biggest obstacle from the retailer when selling clothing and shoe items and it seems rather than dreading high return rates. So, Amazon launched the “Try-Before-You-Buy” feature to reduce the return rates and provide a better customer experience.
Xavier Garambois, VP of Amazon EU Retail, said:
“Fit is an important factor when it comes to buying clothes and shoes, and with Prime Wardrobe/ Prime Try Before You Buy, Amazon Prime members can try their purchases in the comfort of their own home at no extra cost.”
