Optimizing on Amazon is basically researching and putting down the information in a way that will give us a top position on amazon search lists of seller listing products. Optimization helps to rank up listings on Amazon. Nowadays, you have to optimize your listing perfectly in order to increase sales. In this article, we will help you to learn proper optimization.

Now the question is how to optimize our listings?

Well, there are a few steps which we follow to complete optimization. The steps are as below:

  1. 1st we optimize Title
  2. 2nd we optimize Price
  3. 3rd we optimize Photos
  4. 4th we optimize Bullet Points
  5. 5th we optimize Description
  6. 6th we optimize Search Terms / Keywords
  7. 7th we optimize Other Keywords
  8. 8th we optimize PPC (Pay Per Click) Keywords
  9. 9th we optimize Category
  10. 10th we optimize Fulfillment

Title

Firstly talk about title. So, what is the key features to make a best title for a product? Here is a discussion about it:

Basically one of the most important thing on a listing is the title. Better title attracts more customers. So, here is a formula that we follow to make our title better:

Brand Name with Model or Product Name then Some Keyword (e.g. Size, Color, Type, etc) with High Search Volume.

As an example we can see the below title:

Casio Men’s C749 Leather Strip Black Watch

Brand + Model / Product NameKeyword: Color, Type of Product

[N.B. To make a good title you can use keywords after Brand and Model]

Price

Now let’s talk about price segment. Here what we do is, we research many stores to check the product price. After that, we put a reasonable price. But there is a twist, if you are a third party seller then this is applicable to you. And if you are not that means you are manufacture so, you have the ability to put the price as you want.

Photos

It is also one of the most important factors. Because a good photo gives a good impression to the customer. When a customer searches for a product, most of the time the customer chooses a good quality photographed product from search results. That means the first impression is the last impression rule applied here.

Bullet Points

Best part of an amazon listing is Bullet Points. Cause it reflects the product identity, quality. If your bullet point is strong enough customer will more willing to buy your products. Now the point is how to make five best bullet points. Cause while reading bullet points, each and every customer asks, what’s in it for me?

In Bullet Points we write about product type, quality, quantity, features, applications etc.

  • 1st Bullet Point for Product Title optimization
  • 2nd Bullet Point for Specification
  • 3rd Bullet Point for Product Type
  • 4th Bullet Point for Product Feature
  • 5th Bullet Point for Product Application

As an example we can consider the following bullet points:

Well this is also a very important part for a listing. Because a large number of customers read descriptions carefully. So the description should be more informative and attractive. There are two way to write a description one is HTML another one is EBC (Enhanced Brand Content).

Search Terms / Keywords / Other Keywords

We have to know that keywords for robots and search copy for customer. Search Terms / Keywords / Other Keywords plays an important role in optimization. Because it depends on Keywords, how Amazon matches your product keyword with customers search keywords. Better volume keyword helps to get better chance to show up on the search list. To optimize we use some keyword tools like Google Adwords Keyword Planner, Keywords Everywhere, etc. Must have to choose best and more accurate keywords for a better chance of showing up on the search list.

PPC

PPC stands for Pay Per Click. It is another way to set your product on top in the search list.

Category

Selecting the proper category according to the product is equally important as selecting Title, Bullet Points, Description, etc. Because if we don’t optimize category accurately, our product will not show in the right place. So, we have to be very careful to select the best suitable category for a listing.

Fulfillment:

Fulfillment is the part where the manufacturer or 3rd party seller choose how they will ship their product to their customer. There are two options, either manufacturer or 3rd party seller can directly ship their product or manufacturer or 3rd party seller will give it to the Amazon and they will ship it to the customer. The second method is more easy and trustworthy. So, for manufacturer or 3rd party seller it is good to give the shipment process to the Amazon.
