On Magento, we can create different types of products like Simple, Configurable, Virtual, etc. In this article, we will show the procedure of how we can create simple products on Magento 2. Process of creating a simple product on Magento 2:
Step 1: Once logged into the Magento, you can see that on the left side of the screen Magento features are grouped into categories that you can use. Click on “Products” from CATALOG.
Step 2: Whenever we click Products, we can see a dropdown and we need to click the Add Products option and then need to choose the Simple Products.
Step 3: After clicking Simple Products detail pages will be visible. Here we have to provide all the required information. For example Product Name, SKU, Price, Weight (if we have), and most important Categories.
For the Categories option first, we have to select Root Catalog and gradually we have to select all the sub-categories (as many as there). Like: Circuit Protection, Wylex, etc.
Then we have to fill the Country of Manufacturer and Product Owner (if we have) box.
Step 4: In this step, we have to provide a Short Description via Bullet Point. Here are Six Bullet Points if we want we can give six or one bullet point but the standard number of bullet points provides at least five.
Step 5: After the Description part we have reached the General option. In this option, we have to provide EAN or UPC (which we will have) and Select the Brand name.
Step 6: Then select the Images And Videos option where we have to provide product images.
Step 7: In this option, we have to provide a Long Description and for this, we have to click Content after that we can see the Description portion. Here we can put our Long Description.
After providing all information, we have to click (right on top) the Save button.
