How to List New Products on Walmart Marketplace from Shopify

Shopify is one of the biggest platforms for developing an online brand shop. Shopify app-store has so many integration apps. These apps might help you to manage your other e-commerce marketplaces like Walmart, eBay, Etsy, and others. So we can list products in Walmart from Shopify. Shopify has an app for the Walmart marketplace for product listing, passing inventory management, and setting up pricing on your Walmart seller central that pulls prices automatically from Shopify.

Fundamentals To List Products on Walmart Via Shopify

To get started with the Walmart marketplace via Shopify, you need the Walmart app and your Shopify store connected. By this, you can take control of your Walmart channel from the Shopify backend. In this post, we will show the step-by-step process of listing products in Walmart from Shopify.

To pass Shopify listings on Walmart, we must follow some steps. Like, first, we will need to select the product from the unpublished items with the categories. Then we have to go to the edit option. Here, for every item, we have to give each item a specific product ID. For example, we can use UPC, EAN, GTIN, or ISBN as the product ID; here, we prefer to use the UPC. Also, we have to fill in the other required attributes as well. For example, if you list items with the color variation in Shopify, then you have to pass those variations with accuracy. That’s why you have to fill out all the blank boxes to publish products in Walmart from Shopify with variations. Once all the attributes are filled in, you can save those all together.

Now your integration is over from Shopify to Walmart. After you save the product, your Walmart will catch all the information you saved previously in Shopify. Walmart will also pull all your Shopify product descriptions, product pictures, pricing, and inventory. But no worries, you will find an option in the app that will allow you not to pass the Shopify attributes in Walmart. If you don’t want to automatically pass your pricing or inventory, you can turn them off.

Step 1: Show Active Listing on Shopify to Publish Products in Walmart

When we publish products in Walmart from Shopify, we have to go to the Walmart marketplace bar. Can you see the “Walmart marketplace” app in the Shopify backend? Click the Walmart marketplace bar. Then the listings bar will be visible. Click the “Listings” bar. This will take us to the next page.

Step 2: Selecting Product Variation on Shopify to Publish Products in Walmart

After clicking the listing, we can see many Shopify products in the unpublished section that we selected as eligible for passing as Walmart listing. So after coming to this step, we have to select the items we want to publish in Walmart from Shopify.

So, now we have to mark which item we want to pass, and we have to select the categories of that product. For example, if the product is a table item in Shopify, we can choose the furniture category for them. After that, we can click the “Edit” bar. This will turn us to the next page.

Step 3: Fill In The Attributes to Pass Product Listing in Walmart from Shopify

After entering the next page, we can see some more empty attributes like Product Type and Product ID with some other options by which we made the variations in our Shopify for that product. We have to meet every attribute requirement and fill them all to publish in Walmart. Then we need to save them, and that’s the end process of publishing products in Walmart from Shopify. In the next 5 hours, our item will be visible in Walmart with the same price and inventory as that Shopify item.

Extra Tip: Don’t Forget to Check This!

We were more careful about all the steps. But before passing, we also collected the UPC from our trusted sources. Otherwise, Shopify will mention that issue and restrict the published products in Walmart from Shopify.

  • Fresh UPC
  • Attributes Fill In

This is a very simple process, but you can’t be in a hurry while passing. We think you can also surely do the publishing process successfully.
