They are constantly updating their way of advertising & introducing new ways of advertising. Recently eBay has introduced “Manual Keywords Targeting” ads campaigns. 

In this type of campaign, a seller can target their keywords as Exact or Phrase match and bid as if they want to win the position of the ads. Also, it offers to add negative keywords.

This manual campaign is similar to the Amazon Manual campaigns. But here eBay also shows the search volume of keywords.

Starting eBay ads is very easy. Only select eBay sellers have access to use promoted listings. eBay categories them in 2 ways.

  1. eBay Stores subscribers.
  2. Non-store sellers who have either Top Rated or Above Standard status.

eBay offers 2 types of ads. One is automated which they call “Promoted Listings Standard“ . This type of eBay advertising that pushes your products to the top of eBay search results & charge only after getting sales based on the percentage seller gave while running the ads.

Another new way eBay introduced it is called “Promoted Listings Advance“. Here sellers can run Manual campaigns like Amazon & target the keywords to show the ads only on those keywords. In this type of ads eBay charges based on the clicks & bid sellers give in the campaigns.

The number of active buyers is increasing on eBay every year. eBay ended 2020 with 185m active buyers which was 11m higher from the previous year. So to have the attention of those new buyers, sellers must start the advertising. Also the Gross merchandising volume is increasing rapidly also the number of new eBay software downloads increase while the eBay sellers decreased. So it’s a good time to start advertising. By doing the advertising you can improve on the below factors.
