Amazon Advertising: How to create Amazon sponsored Video campaigns

Amazon video ads allow advertisers to reach Amazon customers with targeted video on Amazon’s websites, mobile apps, and Fire tablet wake screen. With an autoplay video feature for an engaging ad experience. Amazon video ads will automatically play the video content when the video is at least 50% visible on screen. This video ads will be placed on Amazon search Page & product detail page.

How to start creating campaigns

  1. Sign in to your Seller Central account, then on your homepage, hover over “Advertising”. From the Advertising menu, choose “Campaign Manager”:

Then from the “Campaign Manager” page click on “Create campaign”

  1. From here you will find all the options of creating different types of sponsored ads campaigns

  1. Brand campaigns can be created from the Sponsored brand type campaign. After you click on the “Create campaign” button then select “Sponsored Brands

  1. Once you’ve picked your sponsored brands, you can set the following parameters:
  • Campaign name: Give a name so later you can find it easily.
  • Daily budget: Put an amount of budget you want to spend daily.
  • Duration: You can put an end date if you want to stop the campaign after a fixed time.   Otherwise you can skip it.
  • Brand: If you have multiple brands then you can choose from here.

  1. Now from the ad format you will need to select the video option to create the video ads.
  1. Now you will need to choose the product that you want to run video ads. In video ads Amazon will only allow you to run 1 product.
  1. Now you will need to upload the video of that product. You will need to follow the Amazon video guideline to get approval for your video ads. Make sure your videos should not have black bars on any side of the video content. After uploading the video you will be able to see how your ads will look on Desktop & Mobile versions.
  2. Now you will need to put the keywords, bid & match type. We suggest using the exact match type to run the campaigns.

  1. Now you will need to submit the campaigns for review. After reviewing it amazon will make the campaigns live.
