Bulk Import or Upload Simple item on Linnworks Using Excel or CSV file

In this article we will discuss how to List Simple product on Linnworks using Excel file in bulk

To run your business smoothly you should automate some of the processes with Linnworks. Linnworks is an automated software company who gives a complete solution to eCommerce websites. With Linnworks, you can monitor your database, inventory, order management, shipping, listing, etc in multiple channel from one platform.

Linnworks provides you with all the possible services to get your business up to the mark. But to get any of the services of Linnworks first we will need to create or build an Inventory database into Linnworks.

We can Build the database directly in Linnworks by manually creating the product with all information or we can import data or product from a specific marketplace like Amazon.

If any one wants to import inventory from any specific channel then he /she can visit here but if anyone wants to build database into Linnworks by giving all the information using a Excel or CSV file or manually one by one using Linnwork Interface then this article is for you.

Uploading Products on Linnworks

Upload or add product can be done by two ways

  1. Manually one by one from Linnworks Interface
  2. Bulk import using Excel or CSV

But today we will only discuss bulk import on Linnworks but if anyone needs to know the manual process you can visit here.

With Linnworks, you can add your simple product in a bulk very easily. To get this job done, you must have an Excel file that contains all the information you want to import on Linnworks.

It is not mandatory to give the same header that is built in on Linnworks, we can give any header of the column but if we give user defined header then we have to map the column header with Linnworks built-in header. So let’s start-

Open Excel application on your computer.

Column header can be user-defined. No restriction here. Fill your inventory information like- SKU, ASIN, etc.

After entering all your information, save your file. Your file should look something like the one shown above here.

After finishing your listing on Excel, you can now focus on importing your own simple product list on Linnworks to get your inventory connected with Linnworks. To list your simple product on Linnworks you must follow the below steps

Step 1- If you have an account on Linnworks, then go to www.linnworks.net” and Login to your account.

Step 2- Click “Setting”, then Choose “Import Data”

Step 3- Click “Import now”

Step 4- Select the required import type

Step 5- Click “Next”

Step 6- Choose file type

Note: You can import file with different format like CSV (Comma Delimited), .txt (Tab Delimited) and other but we prefer to import CSV formatted excel sheet to Linnworks.

Step 7- After choosing the file you have to map the column of uploaded file with Linnworks built in Value in ‘Column Mapping’ Page.

Note: If you want to import information for specific channel then you will need to define the channel,say for example if you want to import title for eBay then you can choose title by channel, or description by channel or price by channel. After selecting any of those value define the marketplace and indicate for which marketplace you want to import the information.

Another important note is, every properties / attributes / features / specifications should be mapped with ‘Item Extended Property’ For example you want to import Bullet Point in Linnworks or item Specification of ebay on Linnworks then you have to map all the column of Excel with ‘Item Extended Property’

Step 8- Click “Run now”

After uploading the excel file there will come a window where we can check the status of the upload as well as can check if there are any error or not.

By following these steps, you will be able to import your simple product list using Excel file in a bulk.
