With Shopify, you can easily create a category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating Category<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For creating a new category you just need to follow these steps below.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first, you need to create a collection<\/strong> for the category. Collections are very important. Collections will pass your items in the appropriate category. A manual collection includes the specific products that you choose. The collection will always contain the same products unless you add or remove them.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1<\/strong>: Once logged into Shopify, you can see that on the left side of the screen- Shopify features are grouped into categories that you can use. To create the collection, you need to choose Collections<\/strong> from Products<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2<\/strong>: After choosing Collections<\/strong>, now you have to click on Create Collection<\/strong>. This will take you to the collection creating page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you have to fill-up all the necessary fields. In the Title<\/strong> box, you need to put your collection name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Conditions, <\/strong>you need to put your collection tag here that you want to create. Also, click on any condition.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Save it. Your collection is created successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: <\/strong>Here you need to choose Navigation<\/strong> from the Online Store. <\/strong>This will take you to the Navigation bar adding a page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you need to choose the Main menu.<\/strong> you can choose any menu, which one you need. If it\u2019s already featured maybe you can see their main menu, sub-menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After choosing the Menu this will take you to the Add menu items page. Here you need to click on Add menu item. <\/strong>In Add menu item <\/strong>you will find Name<\/strong> and Link <\/strong>fields. In the Link<\/strong> field, you will put the exact collection name that you have created previously and in the Name field, you need to put your category name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now just click on Add<\/strong> and then save the menu. Make sure you saved after adding Name and Link. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now if you want , you can add a sub-category in the created category. Just click Edit <\/strong>on the category. Before creating the sub-category you must have to create a collection for the new sub-category and put the collection tag on the edit field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
