Here, we will show you the easiest way to list variation items on your Shopify marketplace with the help of one of the most popular management software of eCommerce platform &#8211; Linnworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Listing variation products on any marketplace are kind of time-consuming. So, if any management software giving us the opportunity to list variation items within just a few clicks, then there is no reason to deny. Without further delay, let\u2019s jump into the procedure!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can easily list on Shopify from Linnworks using all stock item details that are stored in the Linnworks. Make sure that you have imported all the product details in the system correctly.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Creating Configurator:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To start listing to Shopify through Linnworks, first, you need to create a configurator that will host common details such as categories, attributes, prices, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Add New Configurator:<br><\/strong>From Linnworks.net, go to <strong>SETTINGS<\/strong>. From the <strong>Configurators<\/strong> section, choose <strong>Others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-13-1024x550.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14683\" style=\"width:1162px;height:550px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"550\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now,\u00a0 Click on \u201c<strong>+ Add New<\/strong>\u201d to add a new configurator. Make sure that Shopify is selected from the drop down box option at the top left side of the window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-14-1024x121.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14684\" style=\"width:1162px;height:121px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"121\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>Add Shopify Configurator<\/strong>, input <strong>Configurator name<\/strong>. It\u2019s better to create configurator for products that are similar. After typing a name for the configurator, click on <strong>Finish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-15-1024x512.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14685\" style=\"width:1162px;height:512px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"512\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Custom Collection:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the new configurator is created, you need to choose which custom collections from these listings will be used on Shopify. Click on the <strong>Custom Collection<\/strong> section.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-16-1024x246.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14686\" style=\"width:1162px;height:246px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"246\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>Custom Collection<\/strong> screen, you will see a list of all your Shopify custom collections in the bottom section designated as <strong>Available collections<\/strong>. Add those collections that you want to use by clicking the plus (<strong>+<\/strong>) sign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-17-1024x571.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14690\" style=\"width:1162px;height:571px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"571\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> These custom collections will be used for all the listing created by you with this configurator. If you want them to always pick certain collections, mark them as default. Otherwise, they can be selected manually later before the listing is created.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-18-1024x584.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14691\" style=\"width:1162px;height:584px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"584\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Attributes:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After choosing the <strong>Custom Collection<\/strong>, now decide which attributed product you want to add to these listings. To choose attributes, click on the <strong>Attribute<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-19-1024x227.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14692\" style=\"width:1162px;height:227px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"227\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add attributes from the available attribute list in the bottom section. Then click on <strong>Save<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-20-1024x545.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14693\" style=\"width:1162px;height:545px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"545\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While deciding attribute, you have to decide from where these values should be pulled. You can add a default value to the configurator so all the listings you create will use the same value. Otherwise, you can choose an extended property so the value is pulled from the stock item itself. If you choose an extended property that doesn\u2019t exist on the item you are trying to list, the default value will be used instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-21.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14694\" style=\"width:1162px;height:603px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"603\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> Some attributes are required by Shopify and their values will depend on how your specific shop has been set up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After setting up all these things, you have a basic configurator. So now,&nbsp; you can start creating listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Creating Listings:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your created configurator is suitable for the products that you want to list, you can start listing.<br>To list on Shopify from Linnworks, first, you need the inventory view on Linnworks that allows you to list on Shopify. You can create a new view or edit an existing one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-23-1024x480.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14696\" style=\"width:1162px;height:480px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Make sure that your <strong>Shopify channel<\/strong> is visible in the view. In the view settings (<strong>Edit View<\/strong>), scroll down to the channel section and add your <strong>Shopify channel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-24-1024x447.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14697\" style=\"width:1162px;height:447px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"447\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After saving, you can now see your Shopify Channel represented as a column in the <strong>View<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, It\u2019s time to start listing variation items. First, select the variation items you want to list.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You have to define the <strong>Variations<\/strong> inside the Parent. Otherwise, the parent-child will be separated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click on the <strong>Child SKU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-25-1024x454.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14698\" style=\"width:1162px;height:454px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"454\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to <strong>Extended properties<\/strong>, click the <strong>Add New<\/strong> button and add the variation name and value.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-26-1024x548.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14700\" style=\"width:1162px;height:548px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"548\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here, we have two types of variations, Color and Size. So, we have defined these.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-27-1024x533.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14701\" style=\"width:1162px;height:533px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"533\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, go to the configurator, and add these two extended properties.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click on the <strong>Variation<\/strong> column of the <strong>Configurator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-28-1024x323.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14702\" style=\"width:1162px;height:323px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"323\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click on <strong>Add New <\/strong>and type the name of the extended properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ecomclips.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/image-29-1024x517.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14703\" style=\"width:1162px;height:517px\" width=\"1162\" height=\"517\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Add the <strong>Extended Properties<\/strong> and click on <strong>Save<\/strong>.
