Set up eBay Strick Through Price Via Linnworks – Discount Pricing to Increase Sales
Last Updated on February 10, 2023 by

Strike-Through Pricing is “striking” a line through the list price of an item on sale. For eBay, this feature can be easily set up via Linnworks. This option enables sellers to show that their listings have been reduced in price. Then it will show a new Buy It Now price and the amount saved for buyers to view. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the process of setting up eBay Strick through the process via Linnworks.
What is Strike-Through Pricing?
Strike-Through Pricing, also known as STP, is a feature of the Discount Pricing Program. To make the discount evident, a seller can use eBay’s STP function to show both the item’s original price and discounted price.
A seller can specify how much of an offer is being subtracted from the item’s price. The prior price, the savings that the consumer will receive, and the current pricing will be shown.
Are You Eligible?
Before setting up STP on eBay, your account must be approved by eBay for adding STP. This feature is available for listings that have remained at the initial price for at least 28 days in the USA, UK, and DE markets.
How to Set Up STP Via Linnworks?
So, Let’s begin with the process of strikethrough pricing via Linnworks. To activate STP from Linnworks, there are 2 steps –
Step 1. First, log in to your Linnworks Account and then Go to the Settings option. And select eBay from Configurators.
Then select an item from the Main column.
After that, enable the setting Sold on eBay.
Step 2. Now, you have to add an Extended property for each item where you want to add a strike-through price.
Here you need to add a Property Name.
You have to follow a format. I’m going to show you the format –
Format: RRP_SubSource_MarketplaceCode_CurrencyCode
For instance: RRP_EBAY3_UK_GBP
Here EBAY3 is SubSource, UK is MarketplaceCode, and GBP is the CurrencyCode.
This format is used to identify listings in the specified Subsource that are listed on the provided country, and marketplace and use the supplied currency.
Then a Property Value is needed. This value will be the value that a seller wants to show for the RPP price.
Now selected Property Type as the Attribute.
The strike-through pricing will appear on your eBay listings after adding the proper extended property to a stock item and turning on the configurator’s Sold on eBay option.
Please keep in mind that the strike-through pricing won’t be seen if the extended property price is lower than the sales price.
How to Get rid of It?
Now, if you want to get rid of the RRP price, you should –
- Reduce the expanded property value’s RRP price to make it less than the sales price.
- And, Update the list.
After the procedure, The RRP Price won’t be shown.
