Shipping discounts can encourage buyers to add more of your items to their purchase. You can automatically apply a discount to the shipping cost when a buyer purchases multiple items, offer carrier-specific discounts, or even offer savings on shipping as a promotional tool in your listings.
When your shipping discounts are set up and activated on eBay it will say Save on shipping. eBay will automatically calculate and deduct them from the total shipping cost.
You can offer several kinds of shipping discounts on eBay:
- Flat shipping rules
- Calculated shipping rules
- Carrier-specific discounts
- Promotional shipping discounts

Shipping Discounts Process
Giving an offer on eBay with the shipping discounts is very simple. Follow the below steps. Buyers will see the shipping discounts on the dashboard.
Step 1: Once logged into your eBay account, you can see, on the top side of the screen SellerCloud features are grouped into categories that you can use. Click on Selling from My eBay. This will take you to the Seller Hub.
To creating shipping discounts click Promotions from Marketing. This will take you to the Manage promotions page.
Step 2: Now got the Shipping discount from Create a promotion. There are several options in the Create a promotion. If you want, you can give other discounts from there.
Step 3:
3.1 After clicking the Shipping discount you will entire Manage Promotions page. Here you need to fill up all the information.
- Select the minimum purchase amount from the drop-down. This means you can give an offer like free shipping on orders over $25.
- You can select the promotional shipping method and ship price by clicking them. You can give them Free or Flat. If you give Flat, you need to add the cost.
3.2 Choose qualifying items for your offer. There are three options, you can choose one of them.
- Restrict inventory by rules
- Restrict inventory by SKUs
- Restrict inventory by Item IDs
Choose Restrict inventory by rules. You can add your full inventory at a time. Now click on Create inclusion rule and then choose the Whole store. You need to provide the Price starting and ending range, give the price range those items you want to add this shipping discount. Click on Add inclusion rule.
3.3 Describe the items that are eligible for the offer. Here you need to write descriptions on Enter description field.
3.4 Schedule your offer. Enter offer title and End date.
3.5 Add a picture to improve the promotion of your offer. You can add a picture by uploading or using an Item ID or Auto-select. And then select Offer Priority. After selecting all click on Submit.
This will take some time. You can check the status from the Manage promotions dashboard. After activation, this will show on your account.
Everything set now. Now, your items are with the shipping discount. If you want, you can remove your items from these promotions.
